The Chahd Al Argan agricultural cooperative, which means 'life' in the Amazigh language, was founded in 2016. It specialises in producing high-quality argan oil for cosmetics. Located in the heart of the argan forest in the Essaouira (Mogador) region, the cooperative is 18 km from Essaouira. Its main objective is to improve the socio-economic circumstances of women in the rural Bouzama community and encourage their participation in sustainable development initiatives.

Today, the cooperative has 200 members who earn an additional income. The cooperative places great emphasis on quality, paying particular attention to the harvesting and selection of argan kernels.
